Having grown up in Wading River with both of my parents being nurses, I suppose I was destined to enter into the medical field. I attended Stony Brook University for both my undergraduate and Physician Assistant studies, graduating in 2003 with a B.S. in Health Sciences and in 2005 with a B.S. with honors in Physician Assistant Studies. I am nationally certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, a National Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Physican Assistants.

Pediatrics had always been the area of medicine I was most interested in. I even interviewed my pediatrician for my 5th grade career project! But when I was training in school and did my pediatrics rotation, I saw first hand the great relationships the practitioners had with the families and the daily rewards that came with working in pediatrics, and realized this was what I wanted to do. I truly enjoy caring for children starting from birth through to their entry into young adulthood. And now through precepting Stony Brook Physician Assistant students, I hope that I can pass on some of the passion I have for caring for children.

Currently I live in western Suffolk with my husband, daughter (who provides me with ample daily “continuing education”), and two crazy Boston Terriers. In my time outside of the office I enjoy reading, nutrition (I have been a vegetarian for over 15 years), photography, traveling and spending time with my family.
