Rebecca Allenbrand, RPAC, MLS(ASCP)

I grew up in Sinclairville, NY and now reside on Long Island after completing several college degrees.  I began my medical career at Stony Brook University where I graduated with a B.S. in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences in 2006.  I am a board certified medical technologist in New York.   After graduation, I went to work at Northport Veteran’s Hospital for a year in the clinical laboratory.  I now assist Kids First Pediatrics in running the lab program in both offices.

I chose to return to college to become a Physician Assistant in 2007 and graduated from St. John’s University in 2009 with honors from the Physician Assistant Program.  I completed my clinical rotations in numerous hospitals and private offices across Long Island and in Manhattan.  During my clinical rotations, I rediscovered my passion to work with children.  I am nationally certified and am licensed to work in New York as a physician assistant.  I joined Kids First Pediatrics in 2009 and am eager to dedicate my career towards pediatrics.

When not in the office, I enjoy reading, experimenting with cooking, and running.  Additionally I love to spend time with friends and family, and working on articles to publish in a future journal.  I participate in volunteer work continually throughout the year by crocheting baby blankets for local area hospitals.
